- You need to be level 10 to be able to put a skill point in "Petty Magic".
- Put at least one point in "Petty Magic" ;-)
- Find the Neo Rune (Fairy Forest - Root Dwarf; Tunnels - Goblin Sharpshooter)
- Find the Fyr Rune (Rat's Lair or Tunnels - Firebee)
- Find a Novice Runeboard (Maze - Grave Lord; Tunnels - Goblin Herbalist)
- Put the Runeboard in one of your hotslots, use it.
- Place the Neo Rune and the Fyr Rune on the Runeboard.
- Select both runes, CAST your first spell!
